From the age of 3 dance has been a part of my life I simply couldn’t do without, even before that I think! I raced through grades achieving lovely results at every step of the way.
During my dancing youth I enjoyed festivals and exciting performances at Disneyland Paris, Barcelona and all over London. At 17 I was offered a full scholarship at Masters, a wonderful performing arts college on the outskirts of London.
At college I was lucky enough to be taught by some of the UK’s leading teachers, performers and choreographers. We had superb performance opportunities but I soon realised that my creative side wanted to pursue a career in teaching and choreography.
Masters were great and I was able to continue with working towards teaching until I moved to Penny Meekings Teacher training college to complete my teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and National.
Since starting my own school almost ten years ago (Bethany Hodson School of Dance & Performing Arts) it has grown continually under and I now teach up to professional level in all genres. The school is now known as Bethany Rose Dance & Performing Arts and it’s the BR in BRiLL.
We have our annual show which we join forces with L L Dance and PA for, under the umbrella name of BRiLL. Together we take our performers all over the UK to perform.
April 2016 brings exciting news of a new studio being leased in Earith complete with sprung floor and mirrors. This will be the primary venue for rehearsals, exams, and exam practise for BRiLL Dance & Performing Arts.
